Of everything in the FW22 Collection, this piece speaks to season’s theme, “Throttle,” most directly, the title being based on the early era of forming our brand. Years ago, I worked with a two-person sampling room, where on the side flatheads and panheads were being tuned and restored. The uniform there was a cut-off denim jacket with leather underneath. Both of these styles have been in our lineage, so we took archive pieces - A Presidio Thumper Jacket, and my own vintage leather - Scanned them, and printed them. It’s made in Japan, and functionally, it’s padded for warmth. Removable sleeves allow the silhouette to be worn as a vest or jacket, and hand-stitched lines follow the print, so it can fool you from afar. It’s a wow piece that speaks to a time when bikes were being built next to John Elliott the brand, just prior to that first season.
